Gozo College Middle School Misty Team celebrated their water festival in a different way combining their annual Walk for Water fundraising for water pumps in poor countries, climate action, promoting the growing of indigenous trees and getting the whole school community and a lot more on board by promoting the event and inviting everyone on the Maltese Islands!

Participants were able to view an exhibition in the school grounds, which highlighted Sustainable Development Goals, they also learnt about the importance of trees in combating global warming, and got to know about various indigenous trees and shrubs growing in the Maltese Islands, as well as making pledges on how they can do their part for a better planet.

Present for the water festival was Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana, TV presenter Clare Agius and Owen Leuellen, X Factor Malta runner-up, who entertained the attendees with one of his Rap Songs

The Water Festival supported the water conservation campaign led by the HSBC water programme - Catch the Drop.
