In celebration of World Day of Actions week, our Grade 7 Green Flag Class thoroughly enjoyed secretively planning a "flash mob" style dance. We used the awesome song “Love the World”, which was recorded by another Water Explorer Team member.
It was a usual Thursday at Scottsville School, and as second break went on as usual, some of our younger learners questioned why the Grade 7s had changed into blue clothing… Trying not to lie without telling the truth proved a challenge! Nevertheless, our secret was safe.
Five minutes before the bell scheduled to ring, Mrs Cawood made an announcement for the entire school to perform a litter pick up. This was our secret code for “get into formation for your dance”. As soon as our five Grade 7 groups (the entire Grade participated!) were readily awaiting, the beat began. The other learners were excited about this dance and some even joined in!
