In 2016 Heather Secondary school installed 3 JoJo tanks with a large capacity to harvest rain water. This was completed timeously before a huge downpour and the school was therefore able to store valuable rain water. The JoJo tanks have been useful considering we are currenlty experiencing a drought. We have used the water collected for watering our 'water wise garden' , food garden, as well as for the toilets within the school and also for general cleaning of the school buildings. This was an excellent endeavour from the school to save water !
